DBLO Associates Architects was commissioned to undertake an initial brief assessment and masterplan development for a new Centre of Excellence training college and museum. The project is in a strategic location within easy reach of the city centre.
Our initial analysis led to several project imperatives to be reflected throughout the project.
- Deliver a vibrant and creative environment, responsive to the client culture of unity.
- Create a landmark building within the masterplan.
- Create a sense of departmental independence with discrete units of operation for maximum focus and efficiency.
- Respond to the site’s inherent qualities and functional requirements.
- Address varied security, access and transport requirements, and integrate managed public access.
- Whilst being cost effective, and eliminating waste, this design embraces growth and opportunity for retro-fitting.
