The NCTC was commissioned and inaugurated by then-Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari in March 2023. Its importance has since been recognised by current President Bola Tinubu as the first official visit of his presidency in July 2023.DBLO has delivered Nigeria a world-class forensic, security, office, and conference facility - from design to the completion of construction. Since its official opening in March, NCTC has been recognised globally by foreign governments and international stakeholders such as the United Nations and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Security Council. It is intended, that the building will become the African Hub for the United Nations Security Council.
